Dyed Fleece

Ryeland sheep are one of the oldest breeds in Britain. The wool is springy and ideal for spinning. Ryeland wool takes longer to felt than other breeds such as Shetland. Our hand dyed Ryeland is from selected fleece which are sorted and washed before dyeing. The wool will need carding before spinning or felting and because fleece is a natural product there may be some vegetation in the wool.
